I operate as an engineer, so a fundamental function calculator is not beneficial enough for me. This calculator has all the scientific functions most many people will require (like conversions to and from binary, hex, octal, and decimal). Though not programmable, it does have various levels of parenthesis (RTFM for the facts ), and some statistic functions. The key factor about this calculator I like is the size. Its slightly bigger than a playing card and thin as a candybar kind cellphone. For the reason that its small and light, I can carry it about in a shirt pocket. I liked the SC150 far better (older model) mainly because it was even smaller (about three/4 the size), and that is what I wanted when I bought this. I guess they ought to have gotten some complaints about it getting too small, mainly because this new model is now the size of a large number of other calculators.
I purchased this small gem from Amazon and I love it dearly. It is light weight and I use it as backup for my bigger and heavier scientific calculator which I do not travel with. It just sits on my home/office desk. However, I take the Aurora SC150X each and every where I go. It is just an additional addition to the list of issues you really should by no means leave your home with no. The Aurora SC150X functions for me. I have not discovered a predicament with it as however and I have had it for a couple of weeks. The value was also outstanding and I did not have to spend shipping given that I shipped it with other items.
